About Us

The Tulane University After-School Newcomb Tutoring club is a student run, free tutoring program. ANT is run through the Community Action Council for Tulane University Students (CACTUS). ANT pairs your child with a compatible tutor for the semester and runs from late September to early December during Tulane's fall semester and from early February to late April during Tulane's spring semester.

How we work

We accept students K-8 that need help with any subject matter (note: we cannot guarantee language assistance). Your student will be paired with a Tulane student to work once or twice weekly for an hour. We are completely volunteer based.

POLICIES:    We ask that you inform us if your child will not be attending a tutoring session. If you miss 3 tutoring sessions without written notice, we reserve the right to remove your student from the club. We ask the same from our tutors.

We will ask to release your information to your tutor (and vice versa) to encourage communication between both the tutor and the parent. We believe this facilitates the best possible experience for your children throughout this program!
